The Avion Trailer is in place!

It was a crazy ride up the mountain, but thanks to the u-ship people, we got this beast anchored. The Avion trailer was a wedding gift from Robert's parents.  Really they just wanted it off their lot as they are selling the house, but my new mom didn't want to necessarily get rid of it. As I kept admiring it, they decided it would be a good addition to our new little cottage. I love it! I can't wait to restore it or upgrade it. Robert and I lived in this thing for a week in his parents backyard with our three dogs and two cats while we waited for escrow to close on our new house. Of course Robert had lived in this before when he was waiting for escrow to close on his first house.  That took six months due to a fire and repairs needed... Boy what luck.  But it did work out in his favor as he ended up with an upgraded home...  And this time was a nightmare too.  but we're here!  And this trailer is here! Anyway, I have space for visitors now! I don't lik...

Strange New Phone Scam?

Sooooo...  I am extremely annoyed.  Several nights ago I got a call from who knows who with an East Indian accent.  They asked if Robert was home and I said now, may I ask who is calling?  And he asked if he could speak to his wife, I said I was his wife.  The tone then changed and he became angry, and yelled at me, "Robert has a girlfriend!  Yeah, he is divorcing you and you need to sign the divorce papers!"  This was of course ridiculous so I laughed and said, "Oh he is?  We just got married.  And how am I going to sign these papers? Over the phone?"   And the guy still upset yells, "He told me he has a girlfriend and he wants to divorce you!"  I then called him a liar and as I was hanging up he was yelling he was not a liar blah blah blah.   What an odd thing to happen.  No one had our house number at that time so it was not a prank call from anyone we knew.  We get a lot of telemarketing calls though...

Something About Working With Your Hands... Things I End Up Thinking About

Today I slept in.  I guess for some reason or another I needed it, since last Tuesday night I messed up the sleep cycle.  When I woke up, however, I felt like tackling a big task.  The stinging nettle weeds came to mind.  So I put on my pink work gloves, because pink is the color of power (I read it somewhere) and they have a thick rubber coating so the thorns won't stab through.  I get out there and before the weeding, I raked up the rest of the leaves on the cement platforms, then used the leaf blower around the trees by the hammock.  I threw them all away in a box which will be transferred over to the green waste bins when they get delivered.  Then on to the stinging nettle.  Some were easier than others to pull, I had to use a shovel for a few of them. Break time.  Before heading inside to check Facebook I stood out there on my porch, looking at the property, at the dirt road that leads to it, at the trees, my peach tree (I called ...
