When you live in a rural area, you need fire wood!

Good morning!!! I've been in this house with my husband and my dogs and cats since April of 2014 and since then we've lost some oak trees which we had to take down.  The wood piles were getting bigger and to move them seemed so daunting. Since we bought this house we've helped out several friends with a place to stay while they got on their feet or prepared for their next step.  Most recently we offered my friend Kevin a spot and he was with us for about 3 and a half months before acquiring a job at a local horse ranch which offered housing too!  Since then my best friend, whom I call Alice, moved in after I picked her up from Texas, and I have been working on making her feel at home... Kevin kind of left in such a hurry he didn't clean the RV very well so he felt pretty bad. So bad that he decided to do something nice for both Alice and I.  He decided to come over on his free day to move the log pile out of her way which is a huge help to me too! Let me tell you a ...

The Avion Trailer is in place!

It was a crazy ride up the mountain, but thanks to the u-ship people, we got this beast anchored. The Avion trailer was a wedding gift from Robert's parents.  Really they just wanted it off their lot as they are selling the house, but my new mom didn't want to necessarily get rid of it. As I kept admiring it, they decided it would be a good addition to our new little cottage. I love it! I can't wait to restore it or upgrade it. Robert and I lived in this thing for a week in his parents backyard with our three dogs and two cats while we waited for escrow to close on our new house. Of course Robert had lived in this before when he was waiting for escrow to close on his first house.  That took six months due to a fire and repairs needed... Boy what luck.  But it did work out in his favor as he ended up with an upgraded home...  And this time was a nightmare too.  but we're here!  And this trailer is here! Anyway, I have space for visitors now! I don't lik...

It's been 2 years since my first meeting and date with Robert

Two years ago today I met my husband, Robert.  Since then we were inseparable, only being apart when absolutely necessary. A year and six months later we married. Today we spend our anniversary of courtship without our own house, and without knowing what will happen with the purchase of our new house, but knowing home is where the heart is and being together. I am happy to be together in each other's lives. I am also eager for escrow to close...  This has been one emotional roller coaster with the home buying ordeal.

Moving to Jamul and Pre-Planning The New House

Facebook post: So it's done. This weekend we are moving to Jamul! San Diego family, you are welcome to help out! I will still have to run back up to LA for a show and back down to finish the moving. I am not so sure I have ever wanted anything this badly before. So in my anticipation I have been day dreaming and planning, coming up with ideas like this: There are several concrete pads and they are so plain, so maybe something like this method w...

Me, Myself,and I

Just to confirm.  I love my apartment.  I love my job!  And I love my hair. I spent time in Yuma on the 5th and crossed over to Mexico with my aunt Elizabeth and her family.   Upon waiting in line on the way back I spotted this bottle outside a liquor store.  Ivan and I went over for a photo op. I fully enjoyed spending time with my family, it indeed re-energized me. Settling in back in my apartment, I had a moment of vanity and took these selfies... I love myself. Honestly, somewhere along the lines of fear and blame... I forgot that I love myself.  I am glad I remembered again. I love that I can stand on my own.  It makes me feel ready now, something I was not before perhaps?  But I do feel that for myself, this is a completing factor for me. Maybe Nate was right.  We needed to know we can live apart this way and date and maybe this will strengthen us.  It's been rough lately.  But I am liking all of this. ...
