Excuse me for not wanting to compete. No battle of the bands for me, thank you; no American Idol, or The Voice, or America's got talent. While they can make great variety shows I actually hate those shows. You didn't give two shits about the contestants until they were on TV. Were they any less talented before being on TV? No... they were just as talented, but you know why they didn't pursue their gifts? Because they lacked support on a day to day basis. They could have been famous if their families and communities supported and encouraged them. Granted perhaps not all, but not all contestants who achieved success deserved that success either.
